In a saturated market, it’s hard to come up with accommodation ideas that really pop up and grab travellers’ attention – but HotelTonight has done just that.
The Spontaneity Suite first appeared earlier this year in Victoria’s Yarra Valley.
Made from two converted shipping containers, the mobile hotel suite offers adventurous travellers a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The elegant shipping container conversion is decked out with all imaginable modern conveniences, including rooftop jacuzzi and terrace, keyless entry, cocktail station, Apple TV and floor-to-ceiling glass façade.
It provides guests with panoramic views of whatever surrounding environment the roving hotel happens to be anchored in.
HotelTonight Regional Director for Asia Pacific, Stefan Cordiner, said the brand came up with the idea of using two 20 foot shipping containers to create a roaming boutique-style suite that satisfies “Australians’ sense of adventure for exploring their own backyard”.
The Spontaneity Suite is serviced by Ovolo Hotels, the group behind Sydney’s Blue Hotel, and Laneways Hotel in Melbourne, with interiors by top design team Coco Republic.
It has been popping up at spectacular locations around Australia all year and can only be booked via the HotelTonight app.
A one-night stay in the converted shipping containers carries an extravagant price tag of $32,000.
For intrepid travellers who wish to try the Spontaneity Suite experience but don’t have a spare thirty grand floating around, HotelTonight runs various discounted promotions to make the pop-up hotel more accessible.
